This program is offered in conjunction with the Ten Days of Uwharrie, North Carolina’s Official Outdoor Festival! Join us for a unique opportunity to spend the entire night under the stars at a prehistoric village site. Participants will camp on the grounds of Town Creek Indian Mound, NC’s oldest State Historic Site, and view heavenly sights including the Milky Way, Saturn, Mars, and Neptune. Campers must arrive at the site before gates lock for the night at 6:30 p.m. No open flames allowed; there will be a community campfire at the village site between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. The cost is $25 plus Eventbrite fees per tent (5 people per tent max)
Campers are responsible for their own supplies. Remember to bring chairs or blankets, snacks/foods, etc. Cooking will not be allowed on site except for roasting items over the community campfire on Saturday night.
