Established in 1913 by French industrialists, the Town of Badin boasts a European tincture. From pedestrian friendly shopping to curvilinear neighborhood streets, Badin is a true gem. Its lovely French Built quadraplexes bungalows and cottages stand in classical Edwardian style nested in a traditional garden city design. Badin Mayor Anne Harwood will lead patrons on an invigorating walking tour through town. The excursion sets out at 4p.m. Friday Oct. 16 from Badin Town Hall, 36 Falls Road, Badin, N.C. No registration necessary.
